Crossy Road x Mr. Oizo x Game/App:
To coincide with the release of the new single, ‘End of The World ft. Skrillex’ we approached award winning Aussie gaming app developers Hipster Whale to collaborate with us.
With the strong 8 bit visuals around the single release, the wonky 8 bit world that Hipster Whale have created seemed like the perfect vehicle to digitise Flat Eric for the first time.
We created a unique level where you can guide ‘Flat Eric’ through an endless level that was soundtracked by the new single.
The collaboration was used to reach over 1,000,000 active Crossy Road users as well as tap into a key demographic.
Sky At night x Metronomy x App
With the headline single ‘I’m Aquarius’ set to be released from the fourth studio album ‘Love Letters, we wanted to release the single in a more unique and interesting way to create a buzz around the release.
To play on the astrological themes within the lead single we decided to approach iCandi, maker of the Sky at Night app, to help us release the single in a fun and innovative way.
After downloading the app, users had the opportunity to point their phone skyward and line up their phone with the Aquarius constellation and once synced, the user could stream the new single before anyone else.
Little Dragon we’re approached by Samsung to showcase the new Galaxy S6’s live, music and connectivity capabilities within a unique and immersive futuristic installation.
Brooklyn based Odd Division created an other worldly ‘Edge of the Universe’ environment at New Yorks ‘The New Museum’ complete with a prototype flying saucer within the 360 degree rooftop space.
18 phones were connected and embedded in the saucer for the band to play a live show. The phones had a range of digital instruments featuring keyboards, synths and drum machines set up for the band to recreate some of their tracks as well as being merged with old NASA recordings.
As the band interacted with the phones, NASA recordings and visual interpretations of the bands movements were projected around the room creating a truly unique experience
